The Hills Have Eyes (1977)Review:

The original Hills Have Eyes is a good horror film, but one that looks very old for modern viewer. I made the mistake of watching the Aja’s remake before this one. PLEASE DON’T do the same mistake or you will find it difficult to enjoy the original (the plot is really the same). It then makes it a bit awkward for me to comment on this movie, which I guess was great back in the 1970’s, with inventive characters, great action scenes and a really innovative plot. But I personally found it a bit slow, with not much happening at the time. It appear pretty weak in comparison with both the remake and other similar movies from the same period, for example Texas Chain Saw. Recommended to horror movie geeks that want to know their classics or to anyone that hasn’t seen Aja’s remake.
